The primary reason behind these selected three business principles is because they play a fundamental role in increasing the ability of the health care institution to achieve all its set mandate and objectives both in the short and long run (Fisher, 2008). Moreover, another reason for choosing these three business principles is that they act as part of the critical pillars within a healthcare setting that support the delivery of high-quality care (Gardner, Outlaw & O’Grady, 2015). Additionally, by upholding and practicing these three business principles, I have managed to improve my performance as a Chief Nursing Officer significantly. Most of the nursing leaders in the institution have also exhibited exemplary performance in their assigned roles within the care facility (Körner et al., 2015).

For instance, in regards to the principle of what one does, the healthcare facility is currently concentrating on continuing to create a unique experience for its patients whenever they visit this institution to seek medical care or check-up through building a broad vision which is then narrowed to focus on cancer patients primarily. Most of the healthcare facilities have over the years being involved in the provision of different medical treatments, thus reducing their ability to enhance their uniqueness and competitive advantage (Gardner, Outlaw & O’Grady, 2015). Studies show that most of the healthcare institutions that have managed to become successful are those that have ensured that their operations are built on the premise of robust and reliable organizational cultures that give them a competitive advantage (Almgren, 2017).
