Throughout the period named prehistory, a number of developments happened
including ancestors’ (Homo sapiens) origination in Africa following a rather lengthy evolution
process, and migration out of Africa to Near East and other regions around the world (Matthews et al 7-11). This would later see man begin to invent what is referred to as culture due to civilization. Nonetheless, characteristics associated with Paleolithic period include gathering, hunting and fishing as people made primitive stone tools.

The culture associated with Paleolithic era is often seen as novice because people did not produce food. Rather, they entirely depended on environment all of which typified the earliest human culture. On the other hand, Neolithic
period (agricultural revolution) started in the early Near East and signified independence from nature altogether (Orlin 149). In essence, humans started to manipulate their nature by inventing
