Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper.

Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper.

The transport sector is one of the essential areas of development in a community. However, the transport and transportation systems are generally taken for granted until an extraordinary event takes place. Planning for disasters in this sector is challenging since there is a need for a greater emphasis on the communication and collaboration between the stakeholders (Paton and David 18). Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper. This preparedness plan  aims at providing an effective guide to design a proposal for disasters and other significant events as they occur in the United States. Undoubtedly, the country should have an executable national plan for the transportation sector that incorporates the physical and electronics modes of movement in times of any catastrophe.

The concepts and ideas discussed in this plan are regarding the department concerned with regional transportation. The information shared will encourage the stakeholders not only in the transportation and but also in the non-transportation sector, such as first responders and emergency planners, to formulate strategies that will prepare them for future hazards (Veenema 25). Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper.A well designed plan can prepare all those are involved in the process to be aware of their responsibilities and prepare a strong community that is ready to face any eventuality. However, it is imperative to acknowledge that the communication and collaboration between different stakeholders in the transport and emergency sections has recently improved. Along with that, the people of a nation must also be involved in the planning and execution levels. Only then, a system approach that combines various modes of movement is possible for the transportation department.

Research Approach

The report sources its ideas from literature review, national survey and the knowledge and first-hand experience of key stakeholders in the transport industry.

Outcomes of the Research

The study reveals that government has encouraged the transportation sector to analyze the implications of man-made or natural disasters in various regions of the U.S to draft a preparedness plan that lists the required resources, ways of execution and provision of the required services to the public. Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper. The experience gained during such catastrophic occasions in the past has been accepted as a significant source for the plan.

Guide Development

The guidelines for the transportation sector to plan and be prepared for human-made disasters involve eight key principles.  They are cooperation, inclusivity, interactivity, coordination, exercising, flexibility, comprehensiveness, and informativeness (Alexander 46). These principles provide a platform that connects the physical and electronic forms of transportation. Moreover, these factors are essential to build a common vocabulary between the government, private and public sectors concerning transportation.  Moreover, to achieve resilience, healthy relationships and efficient communication between different jurisdictions are necessary.Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper.

Conclusion

The preparedness plan to human-made disasters in the United States involves guidance based on the principles of cooperation, inclusivity, interactivity, coordination, exercising, flexibility, comprehensiveness, and informativeness, as mentioned above. These ideals unite the physical and electronic forms of transport and also bring together the government, private and public sectors.

Recommendations and Feedback

I would recommend that my classmates take a practical approach in framing a preparedness plan for the human-made disasters associated with transport. Primary sources of information from the stakeholders in the transport industry can largely help in the preparation of the plan that will effectively deal with such hazards in the future. Interviews and surveys can be employed to collect information related to the state of preparedness and the aspects necessary for planning (Pradhananga et al. 81). I would also recommend that my classmates evaluate their sources of information to design precise preparedness plans. Besides, a comprehensive analysis of the accuracy of information should be conducted and additional secondary sources from peer-reviewed articles can be utilized for the study. Moreover, attention should be paid to the relation between different jurisdictions within the United States for diversity. This approach will make the preparedness plan a comprehensive and practical one. Transport Sample Preparedness Plan- Paper.
